The World Surf League (WSL) has announced dates for the inaugural Red Bull Airborne Series, a multi-event specialty competition centred around aerial surfing.
France hosted a Red Bull Airborne specialty event in 2018, but the WSL and Red Bull have collaborated to introduce three dates for the first Red Bull Airborne Series later this year.
Beginning at Australia’s Gold Coast in April, 18 surfers from around the world will compete to be crowned king of the air, with pitstops scheduled for Keramas, Bali in May and Hossegor, France in October.
