The inaugural members of the San Diego Surfing Hall of Fame were inducted as the Class of 2019 on Tuesday evening in what organisers dubbed the greatest assembly of surfing talent under one roof.
The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach hosted the first-ever edition of the awards ceremony, during which legendary figures like Phil Edwards, Skip Frye and Linda Benson were among those to be inducted.
The Californian city is renowned the world over for its stellar beaches and surfing climate, producing some of the best surfing talents in the sport.
