A fourth man has been arrested in connection with an attack that took place in Split, Croatia last week when three players from Belgrade’s Red Star water polo team were verbally and physically assaulted. Red Star players Dusan Vasic, Milos Maksimovic and Alesandro Kralj were attacked at a cafe not long before they were due to face Mormar in a Regional League match, which was then cancelled. Kralj suffered a broken nose and a cut to his leg from a knife, but reports also say there were bats and other weapons used by the assailants.
Per Braden Keith of SwimSwam.com, the fourth person to be arrested is a 22-year-old male who is now being held by police “on suspicion of connection on charges of robbery, causing serious bodily harm, and committing a hate crime.”
It’s reported any of the attackers could face up to 12 years in jail if found guilty.
