The alligators in Florida are renowned as a frequent sight in the state. However, the reptilian rascals have taken root in the suburban streets of St. Petersburg this past week after footage emerged of the beats climbing fences and swimming in the middle of the street.
News station ABC WATE 6 released footage that showed a gator of at least six foot in length absconding over a fence (which ie would have thought might stump the creature):
As if that wasn’t enough, video recorded by a member of the public (h/t CNN) showed one of the creatures taking a swim break in a large puddle in the middle of the street following rain.
Remind us to watch our ankles if we ever head to The Sunshine State.
