The women’s Euro League semi-finals get underway on Friday as the four water polo teams left in the running for this season’s continental crown look to reach the 2018-19 decider.
Four-time champions Sabadell are 13/50 (1.26) to qualify in front of 39/10 (4.90) Padova and boast home advantage for their semi-final meeting at 12:15 p.m. BST.
However, Padova could be worth a punt as the more valuable pick considering they’ve won their last three games in succession, including recent big victories over Torre del Grifo (16-2) and NC Milano (13-7) with Odds Portal.
The other semi-final in Sabadell sees two-time Euro League champions Vouliagmeni face Olympiacos in a showdown between Greek peers.
Olympiacos look impressive in 2019 and are yet to lose in this year’s competition, so it’s hardly surprising they lead the odds as big 1/2 (1.50) favourites. Vouliagmeni are 137/50 (3.74) underdogs to come out of their Spanish semi with a result, hoping to reach their first Euro League final since 2014 when they were decimated by Sabadell 19-10.
