I travel quite a bit, and airport transfers are one of those things I used to give almost no thought to.
Land, get my bag, find a taxi or order an Uber. Done.
And honestly, sometimes an Uber is perfectly sufficient. If I’m traveling alone, arriving at a well-organized airport and heading somewhere fairly central, I don’t necessarily see much reason to complicate things.
But there are other trips where I would much rather have the transport sorted before I land.
Traveling as a group is an obvious one. Four or five people plus suitcases can quickly turn a normal taxi into two cars. The same applies when traveling with children and needing a child seat, arriving late at night, carrying skis or other bulky luggage, or landing somewhere you’ve never been before.
Then there are airports where rideshare pickup is surprisingly inconvenient. After a long flight, walking between terminals or parking areas trying to find the correct Uber pickup point is not particularly appealing.
A pre-booked airport transfer solves a different problem. You know what vehicle is coming, what it should cost, and ideally there is someone waiting when you arrive.
At least, that’s the idea.
I decided to look more closely at the main airport transfer services available in 2026. Not to find the company with the fanciest Mercedes, but to answer a more practical question:
