The government of Antigua and Barbuda has approved plans for an offshore, green-energy hotel that will be partly underwater, per the Antigua Observer.
Plans for the Brova Idea Pearl Hotel were created by a Norwegian engineering and construction group, with the project expected to be completed by November 2021.
Melford Nicholas is Minister of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications & Information Technology for Antigua and Barbuda, and he said of the hotel’s approval:
“I believe if it does materialize into a development project, that it will add to the diversity of the type of facilities that will be made available in our tourism product.”
