Ubisoft+ is the French publisher’s subscription to its own games: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Division, Rainbow Six, Anno and the rest. It comes in two forms. Classics is a cheap back catalogue on PC, and most console players already have it inside a bigger subscription without realising. Premium is the expensive one, a rental of Ubisoft’s new releases on launch day, complete with season passes and expansions. This review sets out the prices, the yearly saving, the free trial windows and the platforms, and how it sits against the rivals in our gaming hub.

What Ubisoft+ is, and who owns it
Ubisoft+ is run by Ubisoft Entertainment, the Paris-area publisher founded by the Guillemot brothers in 1986. It started life on PC as Uplay+ in 2019, became Ubisoft+ in 2020, and was split into Premium and Classics in early 2024.
Games are played through Ubisoft Connect, the company’s PC launcher and account system. On Xbox, Premium is sold through the Microsoft Store and the games run like any other Xbox download.
Ubisoft+ prices: every plan explained
| Plan | Monthly (US) | Yearly (US) | Euro | Sterling equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classics | US$7.99 | US$79.99 (US$6.67 a month) | €7.99 a month | £6.99 a month (PlayStation price) |
| Premium | US$17.99 | US$179.99 (US$15 a month) | €17.99 a month | about £13.50 a month |
The US and euro figures come from Ubisoft’s stores, and Sony values Ubisoft+ Classics at £6.99 a month on its PlayStation Plus page. Ubisoft prices Premium separately in each market, so the sterling figure is our conversion.
Classics is a selection of older Ubisoft games on PC in their standard editions, with 20% off games in the plan. It is also sold on its own on PlayStation.
Premium gets you 145+ games on PC, new releases on day one, with early access when Ubisoft offers it, most premium editions and DLC, and monthly in-game rewards. Members get 20% off Ubisoft games and DLC and 10% off virtual currency. On Xbox the catalogue is 70+ games, in Deluxe, Gold or Ultimate editions.
Regional differences. Europe pays the same number for a smaller unit: €17.99 for Premium is about US$20.20 at our exchange rate, roughly 12% more than the US price, though euro prices include VAT and US prices do not.
Free trial and official discounts
There is no permanent free trial, but Ubisoft runs short free windows around big moments. From 18 to 23 June 2026, for example, it offered a six-day free trial of Premium, one per Ubisoft account, through the Ubisoft Store, the Xbox Store and Blacknut’s cloud service. A payment method was required, and the trial turned into a paid subscription unless cancelled before the deadline.
The other savings are official and permanent:
- Yearly billing: 17% off either plan, as above.
- Classics through another subscription: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium include Ubisoft+ Classics. If you have one of those, do not buy Classics on its own.
- Member discounts: 20% off Ubisoft games and DLC with Premium, subject to Ubisoft’s conditions.
We found no working Ubisoft+ Promo Code from Ubisoft itself; codes on coupon sites are not official.
A worked example: what you really pay
Take a PC player in Bristol who wants Assassin’s Creed Shadows with its Claws of Awaji expansion and Anno 117: Pax Romana, and who would usually buy two new Ubisoft games a year in their deluxe editions, at roughly US$90 each.
- Buying the games: about US$180 (£135.07 / €160.30), and you keep them.
- Premium yearly: US$179.99, the same money, but you also get the rest of the 145+ game catalogue for 12 months, and you own nothing when you stop.
- Premium for two months: US$35.98 (£27.00 / €32.04) to finish both games’ main stories. This is where Premium shines: subscribe for a month or two around a release, play through, then cancel.
Game library highlights
- New releases on Premium: Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Anno 117: Pax Romana were all in the Premium catalogue in mid-2026.
- Live and online games: Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, The Division 2 and The Crew Motorfest.
- Back catalogue: Far Cry 6, plus older titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and Valiant Hearts: The Great War, several of which launched the Classics range on PlayStation.
Streaming and connection requirements
Ubisoft+ is mainly a download service. The notable change is on Amazon Luna: Amazon stopped selling Ubisoft+ through Luna in April 2026, and subscriptions bought from Ubisoft stopped working there after 10 June 2026. If you want to stream, cloud PC services that support Ubisoft Connect, such as Blacknut during the June trial, are the remaining route; see our GeForce NOW review and Boosteroid review for services that stream games you already have access to.
Devices supported
- PC: Windows, through Ubisoft Connect (both plans)
- Xbox: Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (Premium only, through the Microsoft Store)
- PlayStation: Classics, sold on its own or included in PS Plus Extra and Premium; Premium is not sold on PlayStation
- Amazon Luna: no longer supported
How to subscribe and cancel
- Go to Ubisoft’s plan page and choose Classics or Premium.
- Pick monthly or yearly billing and check the total.
- Sign in to, or create, a Ubisoft account and pay.
- Download Ubisoft Connect on PC and install games from the Ubisoft+ section.
To cancel, open the subscription section of your Ubisoft account and cancel there; it takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, so you keep access until then. On Xbox, cancel through your Microsoft account. Your saves stay with your Ubisoft account if you rejoin or buy the game later.
Customer service
Help comes through Ubisoft’s support site, where you can search help articles and contact the support team about account and billing issues. Ubisoft+ bought on Xbox is billed by Microsoft, so refunds and cancellations go through Microsoft.
What users say
Ubisoft scores 1.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot’s UK site from 2,589 reviews, with 92% giving one star. Those reviews cover the whole company, not just Ubisoft+, but the themes are relevant to subscribers: difficulty cancelling recurring subscriptions, Ubisoft Connect log-in and account-linking problems, and slow, bot-led support. A minority report quick help regaining access to an account.

Ubisoft+ FAQs
Is Ubisoft+ worth it?
Premium is worth it for a month or two around a big release you want to finish. Classics is rarely worth buying alone, because Game Pass Ultimate and PS Plus Extra already include it.
What is the difference between Ubisoft+ Premium and Classics?
Premium gets you new releases on day one, premium editions and DLC on PC and Xbox, with 145+ games on PC. Classics is a smaller catalogue of older games in standard editions on PC.
How much is Ubisoft+ a year?
US$179.99 for Premium or US$79.99 for Classics on yearly billing, 17% less than paying monthly.
Is there a Ubisoft+ free trial?
Not permanently. Ubisoft runs occasional free windows, such as a six-day Premium trial in June 2026, which needed a payment method and converted to paid unless cancelled.
Is there a Ubisoft+ Promo Code?
No Promo Code is needed. The saving is yearly billing, member discounts or getting Classics through another subscription.
Is Ubisoft+ on PS5?
Classics is, on its own or through PS Plus Extra and Premium. Premium is not sold on PlayStation.
Is Ubisoft+ included in Game Pass?
Ubisoft+ Classics is included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Premium is a separate subscription on Xbox.
Can I still play Ubisoft+ on Amazon Luna?
No. Amazon stopped selling it in April 2026, and Ubisoft+ subscriptions stopped working on Luna after 10 June 2026.
Do I keep my saves if I cancel Ubisoft+?
Yes, saves stay with your Ubisoft account, but you lose access to the games until you rejoin or buy them.
Can I use Ubisoft+ abroad?
Yes, you sign in with your Ubisoft account as usual. Use a VPN on public Wi-Fi to protect the log-in, and a travel eSIM if you need data on the move.
Verdict
Ubisoft+ Premium is best treated as a rental counter: join for a month when the next Assassin’s Creed lands, play it in its fullest edition, and cancel. As a standing yearly subscription it costs as much as buying two deluxe games, so it suits only people who play most of Ubisoft’s output. Classics is fine value but usually redundant, because Game Pass Ultimate and PS Plus Extra already include it. Ubisoft’s account system and support are the weak points, so keep an eye on the renewal date.
