Boosteroid is the budget alternative to NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW: a cloud gaming service that streams PC games you already own from its own data centres to your laptop, TV or phone. It does not sell or include games. Instead it runs more than 1,700 titles from stores such as Steam and Epic, plus Xbox PC games through a ten-year deal with Microsoft, and it does not cap your monthly play time. The price is low, especially on the annual plan, but the user reviews are sharply split. This review explains the plans in euros, sterling and dollars, where it works, and how it compares with the rest of our gaming hub.

What Boosteroid is, and who owns it
Boosteroid was founded in Ukraine in 2016 by Ivan Shvaichenko, who is still chief executive, and launched commercially in 2019. It is now headquartered in Austin, Texas, with its main research and development office in Kyiv. It describes itself as the third-largest cloud gaming provider in the world, a claim it makes itself, and reported more than 8 million users in early 2026.
The service runs on its own servers in 28 to 29 data centres. In March 2023 it signed a ten-year agreement with Microsoft to stream Xbox PC games, which later extended to Call of Duty and Diablo after Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard.
Boosteroid prices: every plan explained
Boosteroid publishes prices in euros. The lowest monthly rates below are on the longest terms.
| Plan | From (per month) | Billing | Sterling and dollar equivalent | What is different |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra | €7.49 | Monthly (€12.89) or annual (€89.88) | £6.31 / US$8.41 | Standard plan; nearest data centre is chosen for you |
| Ultra Pro | €11.24 | 6 months or annual | £9.47 / US$12.62 | Pick your server location; longer idle and reconnect windows; more Boostcast viewers |
| Ultra+WOT | €14.98 | Monthly or 6 months | £12.62 / US$16.82 | Ultra plus World of Tanks rewards |
All three stream at up to 4K and 120fps, and all include ray tracing. The differences are in the small print:
- Idle time before a session ends: 10 minutes on Ultra and Ultra+WOT, 15 minutes on Ultra Pro.
- Reconnecting after a dropped connection: 30 seconds on Ultra, three minutes on Ultra Pro. On a train, that matters.
- Boostcast viewers (watching your stream): up to 5 on Ultra, 15 on Ultra Pro.
- Server choice: Ultra connects you to the nearest data centre that can run the game; only Ultra Pro lets you choose.
Regional differences. Boosteroid prices in euros and charges local equivalents elsewhere, so sterling and dollar figures above are our conversions. Players outside Brazil can opt to connect to its São Paulo servers when capacity allows, with games defaulting to Portuguese.
Free trial and official discounts
Boosteroid has no free tier and no free trial; you need an active plan to stream anything, including free-to-play games. The official savings are:
- Annual billing: Ultra falls from €12.89 a month to €89.88 a year, a saving of €64.80 (£54.61 / US$72.76), or 42%.
- Seasonal promotions: Boosteroid runs its own time-limited offers. Between June and August 2026, for example, a four-month Ultra Pro plan cost €35.89, about €8.97 a month, with entry into a racing-game giveaway.
- World of Tanks: the Ultra+WOT plan bundles in-game rewards for players of that game.
There is no Boosteroid Promo Code on its own site, and codes on coupon sites are not official.
A worked example: what you really pay
Take a graphic designer in Kraków with a thin work laptop and a Steam library she cannot run on it, who plays most evenings.
- Boosteroid Ultra, annual: €89.88 (£75.74 / US$100.92) for a year with no hour limit. Poland has a Boosteroid data centre, which helps latency.
- GeForce NOW Ultimate, monthly: €21.99 a month, or €263.88 over a year, capped at 100 hours a month.
- A gaming PC able to run the same games at high settings: well over €1,000.
At €7.49 a month, Boosteroid costs roughly a third of GeForce NOW Ultimate. The trade-off is less consistent performance and, at busy times, queues.
Game library highlights
Boosteroid supports over 1,700 games, but you have to own each one on a supported store and link the account. Among them:
- Xbox PC games through the Microsoft agreement, including Call of Duty and Diablo titles
- Racing: Forza Horizon 6, Forza Motorsport, BeamNG.drive, Wreckfest, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa EVO and MotoGP26 appeared in its summer 2026 promotion
- Free-to-play: World of Tanks and other free games, which you can stream without buying, though you still need a plan
If a game is not on Boosteroid’s list, it cannot be streamed, even if you own it.
Streaming requirements and countries
Boosteroid has said 15Mbps is enough for 1080p at 60fps; 4K at 120fps needs considerably more, plus a screen and device that support it. Distance from the data centre matters more than raw speed.
Service regions: Europe, North America and South America. Boosteroid has data centres in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Serbia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, the US and Brazil. The Stockholm site serves Denmark, Finland and Norway too, and Bulgaria covers the Balkans. It lists no data centres in Asia, Africa or Oceania.
Devices supported
- Computers: Windows, macOS and Linux apps; any Chromium-based browser; Chromebooks
- Phones and tablets: Android app
- TVs: Android TV and Google TV, plus Samsung and LG smart TVs and other platforms including Titan OS and Whale TV
- Cars: Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment systems
- Controllers: most popular gamepads; keyboard and mouse on computers
How to subscribe and cancel
- Create an account on Boosteroid’s website.
- Choose Ultra, Ultra Pro or Ultra+WOT and the term, and pay.
- Install the app or open Boosteroid in a Chromium browser.
- Search for a game, link the store account where you own it, and launch.
To stop paying, turn off the subscription’s renewal in your Boosteroid account before the end of the term. Read the refund terms before buying a 6-month or annual plan: refunds are a common complaint in user reviews.
Customer service
Boosteroid runs a multilingual help centre with guides on plans, payment, launchers and troubleshooting, plus a support contact route. Several Trustpilot reviewers praise individual support agents as quick and friendly.
What users say
Trustpilot shows 4,214 reviews for Boosteroid, 79% of them five-star and 9% one-star, but Trustpilot has suspended its score, saying the company breached its guidelines, and that it removed a number of fake reviews. Treat the star split with caution.
Reading the recent reviews, the positives are consistent: friendly, effective support, a library that includes games missing from rivals, unlimited play time and, for many, smooth streaming. The negatives are just as consistent: lag and stuttering, long queues at peak times, unpredictable server allocation that leaves good connections performing badly, poor communication about outages, and frustration over refund requests.

Boosteroid FAQs
Is Boosteroid worth it?
For the price, yes, if you own PC games and live near one of its data centres. Expect occasional queues and lag at peak times.
How much is Boosteroid?
From €7.49 a month on the annual Ultra plan (€89.88 a year), or €12.89 paid monthly. Ultra Pro starts at €11.24 a month and Ultra+WOT at €14.98.
What is the difference between Boosteroid Ultra and Ultra Pro?
Both stream at up to 4K and 120fps. Ultra Pro lets you choose your server, waits 15 minutes before ending an idle session and gives you three minutes to reconnect after a dropout.
Does Boosteroid have a free trial?
No, and there is no free tier. The cheapest way in is the annual Ultra plan or one of Boosteroid’s own seasonal offers.
Is there a Boosteroid Promo Code?
No Promo Code is needed. The saving is the annual plan, 42% cheaper than paying monthly.
Which countries is Boosteroid available in?
Its service covers Europe, North America and South America, with data centres in the UK, the US, Brazil and a dozen European countries.
Can I play Call of Duty and Game Pass games on Boosteroid?
Xbox PC games, including Call of Duty, are supported through Microsoft’s agreement with Boosteroid, but you need to own them or have access through your Microsoft account.
What internet speed do I need for Boosteroid?
Boosteroid has cited 15Mbps for 1080p at 60fps. For 4K, aim for a much faster, wired or 5GHz Wi-Fi connection.
Is Boosteroid legit?
It is an established company with Microsoft, Samsung and LG partnerships and millions of users. Its Trustpilot score is suspended over guideline breaches, so judge it on a short plan first.
Can I use Boosteroid with a VPN or abroad?
Within its regions, yes. A VPN adds a hop and usually increases lag, so connect without one where you can. On the road, a travel eSIM with a 5G connection can be steadier than hotel Wi-Fi.
Verdict
Boosteroid is the cheapest serious way to stream your own PC games in Europe and the Americas, and the lack of an hour cap sets it apart from GeForce NOW. It does not have NVIDIA’s polish or consistency, and the suspended Trustpilot score is a reason to start small. Our advice: if you live near one of its data centres, try a short plan, and move to the annual Ultra plan only once you are happy with the performance at the times you actually play.
