Humble Choice works differently from every other subscription in our gaming hub. There is no streaming, no catalogue that vanishes when you stop paying and no console. Each month Humble Bundle picks a set of PC games, usually seven or eight, and if you are subscribed that month, you get keys for all of them to keep. Some months land a genuine big name; others are a handful of well-reviewed indies. This review covers the prices in sterling, dollars and euros, how the yearly plan and skipping months save money, what recent months have contained, and who should sign up.

What Humble Choice is, and who owns it
Humble Bundle started in 2010 with pay-what-you-want bundles of indie games, with part of every sale going to charity. It was bought by IGN in 2017 and is now part of Ziff Davis, IGN’s parent company. Humble Choice is its subscription, which replaced the old Humble Monthly in 2019 and moved to a single plan in 2022.
The model is simple. Early each month, Humble reveals the new set of games. If you are subscribed when the month runs, you can claim all of them and keep them for good, even after you cancel. If you miss a month, those games are gone from the subscription, though they usually reappear in sales later.
Humble Choice prices: monthly and yearly
Humble raised prices in July 2025. These are the current local prices:
| Plan | UK | US | Eurozone | Effective monthly cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | £11.49 | US$14.99 | €12.99 | as listed |
| Yearly | £119.99 | US$154.99 | €134.99 | about £10.00 / US$12.92 / €11.25 |
Regional differences. Euro buyers have the best monthly price: €12.99 was left unchanged in the 2025 rise and is about £10.95 at our exchange rate, against £11.49 in the UK. Americans pay the most, at US$14.99 before sales tax.
The Classic Plan. Members who joined before the 2022 change were kept on a cheaper legacy plan, but the July 2025 rise applied to them too, and some long-standing subscribers now pay more than new ones.
Free trial and official discounts
There is no free trial. The official savings are:
- The yearly plan: 13% off in the UK and euro area, 14% in the US.
- Skipping months: on a monthly plan you can skip or pause a month you do not like the look of, and you are not charged for it. Humble also offers a one-month pause when you try to cancel.
- Store discount: members get up to 20% off eligible games in the Humble Store, with the discount increasing the longer you stay subscribed.
- Partner perks: some months add extras. In October 2026, for instance, members could claim a free month of IGN Plus.
We found no Humble Choice Promo Code on Humble’s own pages, and codes on coupon sites are not official.
A worked example: what you really pay
The October 2026 selection shows the maths at its best. Eight games for €12.99 (£10.95 / US$14.59):
- Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Psychonauts 2, at €59.99 each at full price
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Cataclismo, at €29.99 each
- Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Asgard’s Fall: Viking Survivors and Toy Shire, each under €15
Bought separately at full price, those come to about €225 (£189.60 / US$252.64). Even if you only wanted Psychonauts 2 and Prince of Persia, the bundle beats buying them.
The flip side is that few people want every game every month. Take a teacher in Cardiff with a Steam Deck who skips half the months and subscribes monthly for the other six: £68.94 a year (US$91.87 / €81.81) for perhaps 15 games they actually play. That is the way most regulars use Humble Choice, and it is why the yearly plan, which removes the option to skip, suits only people who like most months.
Game library highlights
Humble Choice has no fixed library: what you get is whatever you claimed in the months you paid for. Recent months give a sense of the range.
- October 2026: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Psychonauts 2, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Cataclismo, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, Asgard’s Fall: Viking Survivors and Toy Shire.
- Quality: all eight October games scored “Very Positive” or better on Steam except Asgard’s Fall (“Mostly Positive”), and all are Verified or Playable on Steam Deck.
- Typical mix: one or two major releases from the past couple of years, plus mid-sized and indie games.
Streaming and connection requirements
None. Humble Choice delivers keys, and you download and play the games on your own PC through Steam or the relevant launcher. You need a PC or Steam Deck able to run them. If your laptop is not up to it, a cloud PC service can stream many Steam games you own; see our GeForce NOW review and Boosteroid review.
Devices supported
- Windows PC: every game
- Steam Deck and Linux: depends on the game; Humble’s monthly lists are usually checked against Steam Deck ratings by the press
- Mac: some games only
- Consoles: not supported
How to subscribe, skip and cancel
- Create or sign in to your Humble Bundle account.
- Open the Humble Choice page, choose monthly or yearly, and pay.
- Each month, claim the games from your Humble library and redeem the keys on Steam or the named launcher.
- Redeem keys promptly: some carry deadlines.
To skip or cancel, go to your account settings and open the Subscriptions tab. From there you can skip a month, or choose to cancel; Humble will offer a pause and sometimes a discount before you confirm. Games you have already claimed stay yours.
Customer service
Humble’s support site has a help centre and a contact route for missing keys, billing and account issues. Key problems usually go back to Humble rather than Steam, because Humble issued the key.
What users say
Humble Choice has a loyal, vocal following, and the comments under news stories about it say a lot. When GamingOnLinux reported the July 2025 price rise, regulars mostly complained less about the money than about the selection, saying recent months had leaned on indie games or titles they already owned. Many said they stay subscribed only because they can skip months, and would leave if that changed. Others raised keys that run out or come with expiry dates, and the unfairness of long-standing Classic Plan members paying more than newcomers. The consistent positive is the core promise: you keep what you get.

Humble Choice FAQs
Is Humble Choice worth it?
Yes, if you check each month’s games and skip the ones you do not want. A month with two big releases is worth several times the fee.
Do you keep Humble Choice games after cancelling?
Yes. Any game you claimed in a month you paid for is yours to keep.
How much is Humble Choice a year?
£119.99, US$154.99 or €134.99 on the yearly plan, against £137.88, US$179.88 or €155.88 paying monthly.
Can I skip a month of Humble Choice?
Yes, on a monthly plan. You are not charged for a month you skip, and you do not get its games.
How do I cancel Humble Choice?
In your Humble account settings, under Subscriptions. Humble will offer a pause first; you can decline it and confirm the cancellation.
Are Humble Choice games Steam keys?
Mostly. A few have needed other launchers, such as the EA app.
Do Humble Choice games work on Steam Deck?
Most do. In October 2026 all eight games were rated Verified or Playable.
Is there a Humble Choice free trial or Promo Code?
Neither. The savings are the yearly plan, skipping months and the member store discount.
What is the Humble Choice Classic Plan?
A legacy plan for members who joined before 2022. It was cheaper, but the 2025 price rise applied to it too.
Can I redeem Humble Choice keys abroad?
Usually, though some keys are region-locked. A VPN is useful on public Wi-Fi, but do not use one to dodge regional restrictions, which can break Steam’s terms. A travel eSIM helps if you need data to download on the move.
Verdict
Humble Choice is the best-value subscription for PC players who like to own their games and do not mind a bit of homework each month. The trick is to treat it as a monthly decision: look at the line-up, subscribe when it is strong, skip when it is not. That makes the monthly plan, not the yearly one, the right choice for most people. It is no substitute for Game Pass if you want new releases on launch day, and it is no use at all on console.
