SBK Free Bet Offer: Eight £5 Tokens From a £10 Bet at 3.0 on an App-Only Sportsbook

SBK free bet offer: bet £10 at odds of 3.0 and get £40 in free bets. Our SBK review covers the terms, app, withdrawals, support and safety.

SBK free bet bonus

SBK is the app-only sportsbook from the team behind the Smarkets betting exchange, run from offices on Commodity Quay by St Katharine Docks in London. There is no betting on its website at all: everything happens in the app, which is built mainly around football and UK and Irish racing.

We like it for its depth of football markets, with more than 100 pre-match markets on most games, and for a welcome offer that is one of the larger ones in the UK by headline value. Here is our SBK review, starting with the welcome offer and the Promo Code.

SBK Promo Code: None needed

SBK free bet bonus

SBK welcome offer and sign up bonus

Bet £10 at odds of 3.0 or bigger and you receive £40 in free bets, released in three batches over 48 hours. The catch is in the small print: every token needs at least four legs, which makes this an offer for acca and bet builder fans rather than singles punters. It is open to new UK customers aged 18 and over who are not existing SBK or Smarkets Exchange users.

  1. Register and make a first deposit of at least £10 in a single amount, by debit card or instant bank transfer.
  2. Place one bet of £10 or more at odds of 3.0 (2/1) or bigger. It can be a single, a multiple or a bet builder, as long as the total stake is £10. A £5 each-way bet will not qualify, and a bet you cash out does not count.
  3. Wait for the bet to settle. It does not need to win.

The tokens then arrive in three drops:

WhenTokens credited
On settlement£5 Football Bet Builder, £5 Horse Racing Multiple
After 24 hours£5 Bet Builder, £5 Football Bet Builder, £5 Horse Racing Multiple
After 48 hoursTwo £5 Multiples, £5 Bet Builder

A worked example. You stake £10 on a team at 3.0. If it wins, you get £30 back (£20 profit) plus the full set of eight tokens. If it loses, you are £10 down but still receive the same £40 in free bets. Say you then land one £5 four-fold at combined odds of 8.0: the return is £35, because the free bet stake is not paid back. There is no wagering, so that £35 goes straight to your withdrawable balance.

The catches. “Free Bet Tokens require a minimum of 4 legs”, and they cannot be used on full cover bets such as Yankees or Lucky 15s. Unused tokens “will expire 5 days after they have been credited to your promo balance”. Each token must be used at its full £5 value; a voided free bet returns the token. No maximum win is stated. First deposits by Skrill, Neteller, Revolut, PayPal or a virtual or prepaid card, including virtual Monzo cards, do not qualify, and that cannot be fixed later. The offer is limited to one per person, household, email, payment account, IP address or shared computer, cannot be combined with any other sign-up promotion, and customers emailed to say they are not eligible for bonuses will not receive the tokens.

Making the tokens count. Four-leg multiples are long shots by design, so treat the tokens as cheap tickets rather than banked value. Four short-priced selections land more often than four outsiders, and a four-fold at around 6.0 to 10.0 is a reasonable target. Use the Football Bet Builder tokens on big televised matches, where the market list runs deepest, spread the racing multiples across meetings, and set a reminder: the 48-hour batch lands two days after the first, and each has its own five-day clock.

SBK promo code

SBK does not use a Promo Code for its welcome offer. Sign up as a new UK customer, make your first deposit by debit card or instant bank transfer, and the offer applies once your qualifying bet settles. There is no code box to fill in and nothing to forget; what matters is the payment method and the 3.0 minimum odds.

Older pages on other sites may show SBK codes from earlier promotions, including versions with lower odds or a £10 bet builder token. Codes you find elsewhere may be for different offers, so go by the terms in the app when you register.

SBK review: our verdict

SBK feels like a bookmaker built by people who came from an exchange. The app is clean and well rated in both stores, the pricing pitch is about fairness rather than flashy specials, and the welcome offer is generous on paper. In practice the £40 is split into eight £5 tokens that each need four or more selections, so the realistic return is lower than the headline suggests. Trustpilot feedback is poor, with withdrawal waits and welcome-offer eligibility the recurring complaints. Worth a look for multiples fans; less so for anyone who only bets singles.

Pros

  • £40 in free bets from a £10 stake, with no wagering on winnings
  • No Promo Code to remember
  • Free bets split across football bet builders, racing multiples and general multiples
  • More than 100 pre-match football markets on most games, most of them also in-play
  • Instant Bank Transfer withdrawals processed in around 12 hours
  • 4.6 on the UK App Store from 6.1k ratings

Cons

  • Minimum qualifying odds of 3.0, higher than many rivals
  • Every free bet needs at least four legs, so they win less often
  • Tokens expire five days after crediting
  • PayPal, Revolut, Skrill, Neteller and virtual cards are excluded from the offer
  • App-only: no betting on the website
  • Trustpilot score of 1.9/5, with complaints about withdrawals and app stability

Betting on SBK: football, racing, bet builders and cash out

SBK’s pitch is fair pricing. Its help centre says odds are calculated “using data from sources all over the world” and claims “the fairest odds in the industry”. It also warns that larger stakes can see odds trimmed slightly. DailyStoke has not tested the margins, so judge the prices against other bookmakers on the markets you bet.

Football and horse racing are the core, which is why the welcome tokens are built around football bet builders and racing multiples. Most football matches carry more than 100 pre-match markets, the bulk of them also offered in-play, and racing covers UK and Irish meetings with some international cards and greyhounds. Multiples and full cover bet types are supported, and cash out is available on singles, accumulators and outrights both before and during events. In-play cash out has a short delay: four seconds on racing and darts and eight seconds elsewhere. SBK does not mention partial cash out in its help pages.

SBK promotions for existing customers

SBK does not run a points-based loyalty scheme that we could find. Instead its help centre lists a rolling set of short promotions, including refer-a-friend offers tied to partners such as the Amgen Irish Open, the Genesis Scottish Open and At The Races, occasional exclusive deals such as Bet £100 Get £50, and ticket giveaways for EFL clubs. These come and go with the sporting calendar, so check the Bonus & Promotions section of the help centre for the latest terms.

SBK deposits and withdrawal times

SBK uses a closed-loop system, so money goes back to the method it came from. It does not charge fees, though your bank or e-wallet might.

MethodMin depositMin withdrawalWithdrawal time
Instant Bank Transfer£10£1012 hours
Visa debit£10£101 to 6 business days
Mastercard / Maestro£10£10 (some cards capped at net deposits)1 to 6 business days
Apple Pay / Google Pay£10£101 to 6 business days
Trustly£10£101 to 2 business days

Skrill / Neteller£10£101 to 2 business days
Bank transfer£10£205 to 10 business days

The fourth and later e-wallet withdrawals in any seven-day period take 24 hours to process. PayPal, Skrill and Neteller work for deposits but disqualify you from the welcome offer if used first.

The SBK app and customer support

SBK is a mobile-only bookmaker: the website is a landing page, and accounts and bets live in the iOS and Android apps. The iPhone app rates 4.6 out of 5 from 6.1k ratings on the UK App Store and the Android app 4.3 from about 2,200 reviews on Google Play. Several reviewers say the app slows down or freezes at busy times, which is worth bearing in mind if you bet heavily on 3pm kick-offs.

Support is via live chat from 09:00 to 23:00 GMT, available only once you are logged in (Account menu, then “Live chat with customer support”), and by email at support@getsbk.com. There is no phone line in SBK’s own help centre. SBK is also on X as @sbk.

SBK reviews: what bettors say

The ratings split sharply by platform. SBK scores 4.6 on the UK App Store from 6.1k ratings and 4.3 on Google Play from 2.2k reviews, but just 1.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 305 reviews, 62% of them one-star. Praise centres on the clean design, the range of markets and quick withdrawals. The recurring complaints are app slowdowns and glitches, especially with bet builders, withdrawal delays, customers told they are not eligible for the welcome free bets and slow email replies.

“One of the best sportsbooks around,” wrote App Store reviewer Luigi Blaster in May 2025.

“Really good site and very quick! Not sure why there are bad reviews,” wrote Sean W. on Trustpilot in September 2026.

“Nicely designed app and has some good markets, but it’s painfully slow at times, sometimes taking minutes to load odds,” wrote Rob C. on Google Play in September 2026.

“This is without a doubt the most broken app I’ve ever seen,” wrote Michelle H. on Google Play in July 2026.

Is SBK legit? Licence, safety and safer gambling tools

Yes. SBK is run by Smarkets (Malta) Limited, which holds a remote betting intermediary licence from the UK Gambling Commission under account number 39173. The Commission’s register lists getsbk.com, betsbk.com and smarkets.com as its domains. The company is also licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. In a past enforcement case, the Gambling Commission fined Smarkets (Malta) Limited £630,000 for anti-money laundering and social responsibility failings and required an audit of its controls.

SBK’s safer gambling toolkit includes:

  • Deposit and loss limits, set from your account
  • Time-outs for a short break
  • Self-exclusion for longer periods
  • Gambling blocks

You can also sign up to GAMSTOP, which blocks you from every online gambling site licensed in Great Britain at once. For free, confidential advice, visit GambleAware.org or call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, open 24 hours a day.

Who should pick which: SBK suits bettors who already build four-leg accas and bet builders and want the biggest headline value. Betway matches the £40 at lower qualifying odds of 2.0, with four £10 tokens, which makes it easier for singles bettors. bet365 offers less, paid as Bet Credits once your qualifying bets settle, and suits anyone who wants one large, established account covering every sport.
