Best Luxury Online Shops 2026: 10 Designer Sites for UK Buyers, and the Welcome Offers That Are Real

The 10 best designer luxury online shops for UK buyers, from NET-A-PORTER to SSENSE, with each one’s official first-order offer, delivery and returns.

Best Luxury Online Shops 2026: 10 Designer Sites for UK Buyers, and the Welcome Offers That Are Real

Designer shopping online has narrowed to a handful of serious players, and the gap between them now comes down to stock, delivery, returns and who quietly picks up the customs bill. This guide is for UK buyers spending real money on a coat, a bag or a pair of trainers, who want to know which sites deserve an account and which welcome offers actually exist.

Every offer below comes from the retailer’s own website, app or help pages, checked on 30 October 2026. We ignored voucher sites entirely. Where a shop publishes no first-order deal, we say so and point to the perks that do save money.

How We Chose These Designer Shopping Sites

We started with 13 candidates and one former favourite, MATCHESFASHION (more on that below). Each shop was judged on the depth of its designer edit, UK delivery costs and speed, returns, whether duties are included, and whether any welcome offer is official and current.

This is desk research, not mystery shopping. We read each retailer’s own delivery, returns, promotions and loyalty pages, plus ownership news from the trade press, but placed no test orders, so delivery times are the shops’ own promises. Where a UK figure was missing, we left it out rather than borrow one from another country’s site.

Our Ranked Picks for Designer Fashion Online

1. NET-A-PORTER

NET-A-PORTER remains the benchmark for womenswear online: a tightly edited mix of big houses and newer labels, sharp editorial and delivery that feels like a luxury in itself. Since April 2025 it has shared an owner with Mytheresa and MR PORTER, the group now called LuxExperience.

Standard UK delivery costs £7, takes three to five business days and is free on orders over £200. Next business day is £10, and Premier, the one-hour-window service, costs £25, with same-day delivery across London and selected nearby areas if you order by 10am. The one official welcome deal lives in the app, and all promotions are subject to brand exclusions.

NET-A-PORTER Promo Code: APP10
Welcome offer: 10% off your first order placed through the NET-A-PORTER app; brand exclusions and terms apply

Pros

  • Excellent edit and editorial
  • Same-day delivery in London

Cons

  • Welcome code works only in the app
  • Many top houses are excluded from discounts

Visit NET-A-PORTER

2. Farfetch

Farfetch is less a shop than a marketplace, connecting you with boutiques and brand stores around the world, so the range is vast and often includes sizes sold out elsewhere. Coupang, the South Korean retailer, took control in early 2024 in a rescue deal, and Farfetch also owns Browns. Because items ship from different partners, delivery costs and times vary and are shown at checkout.

The draw for regulars is Farfetch Access, a free loyalty scheme you join automatically after your first purchase. Annual spend places you in one of five tiers, from Bronze to Private Client, and Silver and above get free shipping.

Farfetch Promo Code: shown in the FARFETCH app at your first checkout
Welcome offer: 10% off your first app order, as listed in Farfetch’s own promotion terms

Pros

  • Unmatched choice of brands
  • Free shipping from Silver tier

Cons

  • Delivery costs vary by boutique
  • Orders can arrive in several parcels

Visit Farfetch

3. MR PORTER

MR PORTER, NET-A-PORTER’s menswear sibling, is the site to beat for tailoring, knitwear and quietly expensive casualwear, with a journal that is genuinely useful.

Standard UK delivery is £7, or free over £200, and takes three to five business days. Next business day and nominated day cost £10, Premier same-day delivery in London is £29, and items stocked in Italy go Express for £15.

The welcome deal is a newsletter offer: 10% off your first order when you subscribe to emails from MR PORTER and other LuxExperience brands, with the code sent by email. Brand exclusions apply, and on recent MR PORTER promotions they have included Gucci, Moncler, Saint Laurent and Loro Piana.

MR PORTER Promo Code: Personal code sent by email when you subscribe
Welcome offer: 10% off your first order for new email subscribers; brand exclusions apply

Pros

  • Best-in-class menswear edit
  • Free standard delivery over £200

Cons

  • Long brand exclusion lists
  • Premier delivery costs £29

Visit MR PORTER

4. Mytheresa

Munich-based Mytheresa built its name on womenswear and now covers men’s, children’s and homeware, with a cleaner, more classic edit than Farfetch.

Its biggest selling point for UK buyers is simplicity at the door. Mytheresa states that VAT, customs duties and handling fees are included in the item price, and duties are refunded on returns. DHL Premium costs £8 for two to four business days, DHL Express £14 for one to two, and premium delivery is free over £300. Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt with a prepaid label, one per order.

We found no welcome discount on its UK pages; the newsletter promises early access, not money off.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; duties included in prices, free premium delivery over £300 and 30-day returns

Pros

  • No customs surprises
  • 30-day returns window

Cons

  • No welcome discount
  • Free delivery only from £300

Visit Mytheresa

5. Harrods

Harrods online carries the Knightsbridge store’s fashion, fine jewellery, beauty and food hall, and works best for people who already shop there. UK Standard delivery is £5.95, or free over £100, Next Day is £12 and Click and Collect is free. Returns are free within 14 days of delivery, though original delivery charges are not refunded.

There is no welcome code; the lever is Harrods Rewards. Tiers follow calendar-year spend: Green up to £1,999, Bronze from £2,000, Gold from £5,000, Black from £10,000 and Platinum from £50,000. Green and Bronze earn one point per £1, Gold two, Black and Platinum three, and every 500 points is worth £5, with some brands and departments excluded.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; Harrods Rewards points, free UK Standard delivery over £100 and free returns within 14 days

Pros

  • Low £100 free-delivery threshold
  • Rewards points pay out from £5

Cons

  • Short 14-day returns window
  • Modest earn rate below Gold

Visit Harrods

6. Selfridges

Selfridges brings its Oxford Street mix of fashion, beauty, homeware and food online, with a strong line in newer designers. Standard UK delivery is charged by order value, £5 up to £200 and £8 from £201 to £600 on the table we checked, though a banner on the same page advertised free delivery over £150, so watch the total at checkout.

The cleaner route is Selfridges Unlocked, the free loyalty scheme, whose members get free standard and nominated-day delivery. Since February 2025, Keyholders earn Keys for time in store and at events as well as spending; at 200 Keys you become a “Very Selfridges Person”, with free parking, alterations and access to The Selfridges Lounge in London.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; free standard and nominated-day delivery for Selfridges Unlocked members

Pros

  • Free loyalty scheme with real delivery perks
  • Range well beyond fashion

Cons

  • Confusing delivery pricing
  • Top perks need serious spend or time

Visit Selfridges

7. SSENSE

Montreal’s SSENSE is where you go for the directional end of fashion: Japanese and Belgian designers, cult streetwear and labels the department stores have not caught up with. It sought creditor protection in Canada in 2025, then emerged in February 2026 when its founders, the Atallah brothers, bought back the parent company with a Canadian family office.

UK orders travel by Express in two to three days, free on full-price orders of £200 or more and £17 below that, with no free threshold on sale items. Check whether duties are included in your checkout total before you pay. We found no welcome discount published by SSENSE itself.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; free UK express delivery on full-price orders of £200 or more

Pros

  • Strongest avant-garde edit
  • Fast express shipping

Cons

  • £17 delivery on smaller orders
  • No free shipping on sale items

Visit SSENSE

8. Browns

Founded by Joan and Sidney Burstein in 1970, Browns is one of London’s best-known designer boutiques, owned by Farfetch since 2015, with its flagship on Brook Street in Mayfair. The site carries a tighter, more personal edit than its parent.

Browns lists the UK among countries where the price shown includes import duties, and UK orders take two to four working days. Returns are free by courier collection or drop-off, but the window is short: 14 days from receipt, and Browns suggests booking within seven. Delivery costs are not refunded, and first orders must go to your card’s billing address.

Browns Promo Code: Personal code sent by email when you subscribe
Welcome offer: 10% off your first purchase when you sign up to the Browns newsletter

Pros

  • Distinctive London edit
  • Free returns collection

Cons

  • Only 14 days to return
  • First order must go to your billing address

Visit Browns

9. END.

END. is a British favourite for trainers, technical outerwear and contemporary menswear, with stores including one on London’s Broadwick Street and another in Milan. It suits buyers who want fashion-led labels at the more accessible end of designer pricing.

Delivery is the cheapest on this list for small orders. DPD Standard is free over £80 and £4.99 below that, and DPD Next Working Day Priority costs £9.99 if you order by 6pm. Every order must be signed for, or you can pick a DPD Pickup shop instead. END. publishes no welcome code on its own site, so the low threshold is the saving.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; free DPD standard delivery on UK orders over £80

Pros

  • Low £80 free-delivery threshold
  • Strong trainer and outerwear range

Cons

  • Fewer top-tier luxury houses
  • Signature needed on every delivery

Visit END.

10. LuisaViaRoma

LuisaViaRoma ships designer fashion worldwide from Italy, with a lively mix of big houses and party-ready labels. Its key promise for UK buyers is that online prices are all-inclusive, covering duty and import fees, so an Italian order should not bring a customs bill to your door.

Express shipping to the UK costs £22 and takes one to two business days to major cities, or two to three to remote areas. That makes small orders expensive, so it suits a considered purchase rather than a single T-shirt. It sends newsletter subscribers promo codes from time to time, each with fixed dates, but publishes no standing first-order offer.

No official first-order offer
Welcome offer: None; duties and import fees included in UK prices

Pros

  • Duties included in the price
  • Quick express delivery from Italy

Cons

  • £22 shipping on smaller orders
  • Returns terms missing from its UK shipping page

Visit LuisaViaRoma

Also Worth a Look: Harvey Nichols, Flannels and 24S

Harvey Nichols just missed the cut: its free REWARDS scheme turns points into cash rewards, and you earn points for downloading its app. Flannels, owned by Frasers Group, is strong on contemporary labels. 24S, LVMH’s Paris store named after Le Bon Marché’s address at 24 rue de Sèvres, carries more than 300 brands. We could confirm no current welcome offer at any of the three.

What Happened to MATCHESFASHION?

MATCHESFASHION no longer trades as a shop. Frasers Group bought it from Apax Partners in December 2023 for £52 million, placed it into administration in March 2024, and the site closed on 21 July 2024, leaving many designers owed money; the old address later redirected to Flannels. In December 2025, Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher, founders of the members-only app Mile, bought the Matches name and its in-house label Raey through their new group, Hulcan, planning a 2026 relaunch. We could not confirm a launch date when we checked, so it is not ranked.

Buying Guide: Getting Luxury Online Without Nasty Surprises

Authenticity. Type the retailer’s address in yourself rather than following a social media advert. If a price looks too good on an unfamiliar site, it usually is.

Duties and customs since Brexit. Goods from EU-based shops are imports. Mytheresa, LuisaViaRoma and Browns state that UK prices include duties. Where a shop does not, expect possible import VAT, duty and a courier handling fee before release. Tariff-free trade under the UK-EU deal covers only goods meeting rules of origin, which a jacket made in Asia and shipped from Italy may not.

Returns costs. UK law gives you 14 days to cancel most online orders. Mytheresa allows 30; Harrods and Browns 14, and neither refunds the original delivery charge.

Price matching. None of the help pages we read promises to match a rival’s price, so buy where it is cheaper.

Sale seasons. Designer sales usually start in early summer and around Christmas, with Black Friday in late November. Selfridges Unlocked offers early access to launches, and Harvey Nichols runs REWARDS-only events such as double points.

Designer Shopping Online in 2027: New Owners and Firmer Rules

In 2027 the luxury web is smaller at the top and owned by fewer hands. NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER and Mytheresa sit under one group, LuxExperience, after Mytheresa completed its purchase of YOOX NET-A-PORTER from Richemont in April 2025. Farfetch, and Browns with it, belongs to Coupang, while SSENSE is back in its founders’ hands after leaving Canadian creditor protection in February 2026.

The rules have firmed up too. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act, fake reviews and drip pricing, where unavoidable fees appear only at checkout, have been banned in the UK since 6 April 2025. The Competition and Markets Authority can now decide breaches itself and fine a business up to 10% of global turnover, which gives shoppers more confidence that the price on the product page is the price they pay.

Luxury Online Shopping FAQs

Which luxury website has the best first-order discount?

NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER, Farfetch and Browns each publish 10% off a first order. NET-A-PORTER’s uses the Promo Code APP10 in its app, Farfetch’s is also app only, and MR PORTER and Browns email a code when you subscribe. Expect brand exclusions.

Do I pay customs on designer orders from the EU?

It depends on the shop. Mytheresa, LuisaViaRoma and Browns state that UK prices include import duties. Elsewhere, check the checkout total and help pages, as import VAT, duty and a courier fee may be due on delivery.

Is Farfetch legit?

Yes. Farfetch is a long-established marketplace selling stock from partner boutiques and brand stores, owned by Coupang since early 2024. Check each item’s delivery and returns details, as they vary by seller.

Can I still shop at MATCHESFASHION?

Not as before. The original business entered administration in March 2024 and closed that July. Hulcan bought the brand and planned a 2026 relaunch, but we could not confirm a launch date.

Which luxury sites offer free returns in the UK?

Harrods and Browns offer free returns within 14 days, and Mytheresa gives a prepaid label with a 30-day window. Check whether the original delivery charge is refunded.

What is the cheapest way to get free delivery on designer buys?

Join a free loyalty scheme: Selfridges Unlocked gives free standard and nominated-day delivery, and Farfetch Access free shipping from Silver tier. Otherwise, END. (over £80) and Harrods (over £100) have the lowest thresholds here.
