The biggest saving is the one Surfshark advertises itself: on the official pricing page, the two-year plans carry 3 extra months free and discounts of 85% on Starter, 87% on One and 82% on One+. When we checked, a Black Friday promotion was already running on the pricing page.

On top of that, enter Promo Code SHARKGIFT in the coupon field at checkout on the two-year plan. Promo Code SHARKSECURE is tied to the 3-month plan, from US$8.99 a month (£6.75 / €8.01), for anyone who would rather not commit for two years. Use one code per order. There are other codes circulating on coupon sites, but none we could confirm with Surfshark, so we have left them out.

Here is how the maths works on the Starter plan. The list price for 27 months on monthly billing would be US$444.15 (£333.29 / €395.56). The two-year deal brings that down to US$67.23 billed for the first 27 months (£50.45 / €59.88), or US$2.49 a month (£1.87 / €2.22). That is a saving of US$376.92 (£282.84 / €335.68).

Is there a Surfshark free trial? Plus the 30-day refund, step by step

There is no free plan. What Surfshark does offer is a 7-day free trial for new users who pick a 12- or 24-month plan. You choose a payment method (credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay) and are charged when the trial ends. During those seven days the app works on up to 3 devices; after that the limit lifts. To stop the charge, log in on the website, open Subscription from your profile menu and switch off auto-renewal.

The safety net behind that is a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of first purchase. It covers subscriptions bought directly from Surfshark or through its billing partners (Paddle, Google Play and Cleverbridge). Surfshark runs 4,500+ servers in 100 countries. Is Surfshark safe? Logs, audits and the Dutch jurisdiction

Surfshark says it does not log what you browse, and that claim has been checked. In 2025 Deloitte, one of the Big Four accounting firms, reviewed its no-logs policy, server configuration and deployment processes and reaffirmed that browsing activity is not logged or tracked. The company is registered in the Netherlands, having moved from the British Virgin Islands.
