Top Crypto Casinos for 2027: Trusted, Licensed and Popular

Eight crypto casinos with licences we checked on the regulator’s records, plus who owns them, past incidents and the risks. Not for UK players. 18+.

Top Crypto Casinos for 2027: Trusted, Licensed and Popular

Crypto casinos have grown from a niche for Bitcoin enthusiasts into some of the biggest names in online gambling, with football shirts, Formula One cars and streaming deals to prove it. The trouble is that the logo on a shirt says nothing about who holds the licence, who owns the company or what happens when a withdrawal stalls. This guide is for adults in countries where these operators are licensed to accept them, and it is built around those questions rather than bonus sizes.

We started with fourteen well-known brands and checked each against the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s licence certificates, trade press and court and regulator reports. Eight made the list. Six did not, including one that lost its licence and two whose owner ordered them shut. None of these sites is licensed in Great Britain, and that matters more than anything else on this page.

Not for UK or US readers. None of the casinos below is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and none may legally offer gambling to people in Great Britain. Most also block the United States, Australia and many European countries. This article is for readers in countries where these operators are licensed to accept them. If you are in the UK, use a UKGC-licensed site: our guide to UK online casinos lists sites that are. Do not use a VPN to get round a block. It breaches every one of these operators’ terms, and a casino can close the account and withhold winnings when it finds out.

How We Chose These Licensed Crypto Casinos

This is a desk review. We did not deposit at these casinos, and we cannot legally do so from the UK. Every fact here comes from regulator records, the operators’ published terms and help pages, and reporting by trade and mainstream outlets, which we name as we go.

Each brand had to clear four hurdles:

  • A licence we could trace. Under Curaçao’s National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), in force since 24 December 2024, every operator holds its own licence from the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) rather than a sublicence. We recorded the number and the licensed company. For BitStarz, BetFury and Duelbits we read the licence directly on the CGA’s own certificate page. For the others the number comes from independent licence directories, as we could not open those certificates directly.
  • A track record. At least five years of trading under the same brand.
  • Ownership on the record. At a minimum, a named licensed company with a registration number. Only Stake names its founders. For every other brand on this list, the public record stops at the company, and we say so.
  • No live regulatory cloud. Brands with a revoked licence or a shutdown and sale in progress were left out. Well-documented incidents, such as hacks, are noted in the entries.

Provably fair games, where a site offers them, were a bonus rather than a requirement. A provably fair game lets you check that a round was not altered after you bet. It does not make the odds kinder.

The 8 Best Crypto Casinos, Ranked

1. Stake

Stake is the biggest name in crypto gambling, launched in 2017 by Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani, whose engineering company Easygo builds the platform. It runs a full casino, live dealer tables, a sportsbook and its own Stake Originals, and its title sponsorship of the Sauber Formula One team in 2023 and 2024 made the brand familiar far beyond crypto circles.

The record is not spotless. In September 2023 the FBI attributed the theft of about $41 million from Stake to North Korea’s Lazarus Group. Its UK site, run under a white-label partner, closed in March 2025 after the Gambling Commission opened an investigation into a Stake-branded advert, and in September 2026 Dutch outlet Follow the Money reported that Curaçao granted Stake’s licence before ownership questions were fully resolved. No enforcement action has followed.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1451/0918, held by Medium Rare N.V.
Welcome offer: no standard deposit-match bonus; rewards run through a VIP programme with rakeback and reloads.

  • Founders and parent company publicly named
  • Self-exclusion and a monthly spending calculator built into the account
  • 2023 hack and 2025 UK exit
  • Ownership questions raised in 2026 remain unanswered in public

2. Cloudbet

Cloudbet opened in 2013, which makes it one of the oldest crypto bookmakers still trading. It began as a sportsbook and still feels like one, with deep football markets including lower leagues, live betting and high limits, alongside a casino of slots, live tables from Evolution and a small set of Cloudbet Originals.

It is run by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. in Curaçao, with some payments handled by Solas Technologies Limited in Cyprus. Australia’s media regulator, ACMA, ordered internet providers to block Cloudbet in October 2022 for breaching the Interactive Gambling Act, a reminder that a Curaçao licence counts for little where local law says otherwise.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/328/0599, held by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., issued 23 May 2025.
Welcome offer: a package of rakeback and cash drops released over the first 30 days; check the official promotions page for current amounts and terms.

  • Thirteen years of continuous trading
  • Deposit limits, cooling-off from 24 hours to three months, and self-exclusion
  • Owners behind the holding company not publicly named
  • Blocked in Australia since 2022

3. BitStarz

BitStarz arrived in 2014 and has kept the same name through several changes of operating company. It is casino-only, with no sportsbook, and leans hard into slots and live dealer games from established studios.

The brand has changed hands on paper several times. It started under Direx N.V., moved to Dama N.V. in 2020 and is now run by Gareton B.V., whose CGA certificate shows it licensed since 8 July 2024 and lists bitstarz.com among its approved domains. That certificate is the clearest licence evidence for any brand on this list. What it does not show is who owns Gareton.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/165/0185, held by Gareton B.V., licensed since 8 July 2024.
Welcome offer: a deposit-match package with free spins; amounts and wagering vary by country, so read the official promotions page.

  • Licence and domain confirmed on the regulator’s certificate
  • Over a decade under the same brand
  • No sportsbook
  • Several operating companies in its history, none naming owners

4. BetFury

BetFury has been live since 2019 and built its name on in-house games and a token economy. Its Dice, Crash, Mines and Plinko are provably fair, so you can check every round, while third-party slots rely on their studios’ certified random number generators. It also runs a sportsbook and its own BFG token.

The CGA certificate names Universe B Games B.V. as the licensee since 31 July 2025, covering betfury.com, betfury.io and betfury.cl. Six years of trading only just clears our bar, and the token side adds a second layer of price risk on top of the coins you deposit.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1494/0942, held by Universe B Games B.V., licensed since 31 July 2025.
Welcome offer: check the official promotions page for the current offer and its wagering terms.

  • Provably fair in-house games
  • Licence confirmed on the regulator’s certificate
  • Token rewards add volatility
  • Ownership not published

5. 7Bit Casino

7Bit has been around since 2014, a long life for any online casino, let alone a crypto one. It is a browser-based, casino-only site with a large slots library and some provably fair titles, and it accepts several coins, with ordinary currencies in some countries.

Its licence sits with Scores55 Tech B.V., the same company that runs mBit. Before that, 7Bit operated under Dama N.V., so older review sites still name Dama. The parent named in licence directories is Saphirix Solutions SRL, but the people behind it are not public.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1307/0748, held by Scores55 Tech B.V.
Welcome offer: a matched deposit bonus with free spins over the first four deposits; terms vary by country.

  • More than a decade of trading
  • Some provably fair games
  • No app
  • Owners not named

6. Duelbits

Duelbits launched in 2020 and runs a casino, a sportsbook with a strong esports section and a set of in-house Originals, among them Crash, Dice, Plinko, Mines and Blackjack, which are provably fair.

Its CGA certificate names Liquid Entertainment N.V., licensed since 1 November 2024, with duelbits.com, duelbits.net and sportsbits.com as approved domains. The company does not disclose its owners, and at six years old it is one of the younger brands here.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1507/0838, held by Liquid Entertainment N.V.
Welcome offer: check the official promotions page for the current offer and its wagering terms.

  • Licence confirmed on the regulator’s certificate
  • Provably fair Originals
  • Owners not disclosed
  • Shorter track record than the top five

7. Roobet

Roobet has been live since 2019 and made its name on Crash and on big-name tie-ups with streamers and celebrities, Snoop Dogg among them. It is run by Raw Entertainment B.V., licensed by the CGA since 31 July 2024, with group companies in Cyprus and the UK named in a 2022 privacy notice.

Its restricted list is long, covering the UK, the US, Australia and Ontario among others. The licence number below comes from an independent licence directory; we could not open its CGA certificate directly, so click the seal before you sign up.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/687/0427, held by Raw Entertainment B.V.
Welcome offer: check the official promotions page; we could not confirm current terms.

  • Popular Crash game and slots library
  • Clear restricted-country list
  • Streamer-heavy marketing
  • Beneficial owners not disclosed

8. mBit Casino

mBit is 7Bit’s sister site, launched in 2014 and run by the same Scores55 Tech B.V. under the same licence. It shows return-to-player figures on most slot tiles, which is a small but useful habit few rivals share.

It earns its place on track record and licence. If you already play at 7Bit, mBit adds little, and self-exclusion at one may not cover the other unless you ask.

Licence: Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1307/0748, held by Scores55 Tech B.V.
Welcome offer: a deposit match with free spins; terms vary by country.

  • RTP shown on most slots
  • Over a decade of trading
  • Shares owner and licence with 7Bit
  • Owners not named

Well-Known Names We Left Out

Six candidates did not make the cut:

  • BC.Game. It gave up its Curaçao licence on 5 December 2024 after a court declared its operating companies, Blockdance B.V. and Small House B.V., bankrupt, and the CGA’s enforcement register lists the licence as revoked. It now cites a licence from Anjouan held by a Belize company. The Curaçao Chronicle reported in September 2025 that more than $2.5 million in player claims were unresolved.
  • Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io. Both still hold CGA licences, but their owner, Yolo Group, ordered them shut in 2025 as it moved away from grey markets. Sale talks with Betsson were reported in February 2026 and no completed deal has been announced.
  • FortuneJack. Running since 2014, but it moved in 2024 to an Anjouan licence under a new Costa Rica company, PlayWave SRL, and names no owners. We could not confirm the licence on a public register.
  • Rollbit. It now holds CGA licence OGL/2024/1260/0494, but in 2023 it faced public allegations over its licence status and over streamers playing with house-funded balances, and its leveraged futures trading carries risks well beyond casino play.
  • Thunderpick. We could not confirm a current licence number on the CGA’s records.

Choosing a Bitcoin Casino: What Matters and What to Ignore

Check the licence yourself. A Curaçao seal in the footer should open a certificate on the CGA’s own domain, cga.cw, showing the company name, licence number and the exact web address you are on. A seal that opens an image, or a page on another domain, is a warning sign.

Expect ID checks. Crypto does not mean anonymous. Licensed operators must run anti-money laundering checks and can ask for photo ID, proof of address or a selfie, often at the first withdrawal. Have your documents ready before you deposit, not after you win.

Price swings cut both ways. If you deposit Bitcoin and the price falls while you play, your balance is worth less even if you broke even. Stablecoins such as USDT reduce that risk but do not remove the casino risk.

Transfers cannot be reversed. Send coins to the wrong address or the wrong network and they are usually gone. There is no chargeback and no bank to call. Copy addresses with care and test with a small amount.

Set limits before you start. Look for deposit limits, cooling-off and self-exclusion in the account settings. If a site will not set them, leave. Self-exclusion usually covers one brand only, so exclude from sister sites separately.

Ignore the size of the bonus. Wagering, maximum bets and expiry dates decide whether a bonus is worth anything. A large headline figure with heavy wagering is worth less than a small, plain one.

Curaçao Licensing in 2027: What Changed for Crypto Players

In 2027 the old Curaçao system of master licences and sublicences is history. Since the National Ordinance on Games of Chance took effect on 24 December 2024, every operator answers directly to the Curaçao Gaming Authority, which had granted 604 provisional licences by December 2025 and rejected 139 applications. Licensed sites carry a CGA seal that links to a certificate naming the company and its approved domains, and the regulator keeps an enforcement register of revoked licences.

The CGA has also added a responsible gaming policy, published in April 2025, an updated complaints policy and guidelines for independent dispute resolution. It still does not take up individual complaints itself, so a player’s first step is the operator, then an approved dispute service.

Crypto Casino FAQs

Not these ones. Only operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may offer gambling to people in Great Britain, and none of the sites in this guide holds that licence. UK players should use a UKGC-licensed casino.

Can I use a VPN to play at a crypto casino?

No. Every operator here bans VPN use to get round country restrictions. If a casino finds it, it can close the account and withhold winnings, and you would have no regulator to appeal to.

How do I check a crypto casino’s licence?

Click the seal in the site’s footer. It should open a certificate on the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s domain showing the licence number, the company and the domain you are on. If the names or web addresses do not match, do not deposit.

Do crypto casinos ask for ID?

Yes, usually at withdrawal or when a payment triggers anti-money laundering checks. Expect to provide photo ID and proof of address, sometimes a selfie.

What does provably fair mean?

It means you can check that a game round’s result was fixed before you bet and not changed afterwards, using data the casino publishes. It applies mostly to in-house games such as Dice and Crash, and it does not change the house edge.

Which crypto casino has the longest track record?

Cloudbet, trading since 2013. BitStarz, 7Bit and mBit followed in 2014.
