FanDuel Sportsbook is the betting app most Americans have heard of, and for good reason. It was founded in Edinburgh as a daily fantasy site, opened its first sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey and now, as part of Flutter Entertainment, takes bets in 24 states plus DC and Puerto Rico.
We like it for the Same Game Parlay, which FanDuel built much of its reputation on, and for a steady stream of profit boosts that gives regular bettors something to use every week. Here is our FanDuel Sportsbook review, starting with the welcome offer and the promo code.

FanDuel Sportsbook welcome offer and sign-up bonus
New customers in every FanDuel jurisdiction can claim the offer, which asks for very little money up front. Once you opt in, the 7-day clock starts. Each calendar day, between 3 AM and 11:59 PM Eastern, you place one cash bet of at least $5. For each day you do that, FanDuel credits $50 in Bonus Bets, win or lose. Seven days, seven qualifying bets, $350 in total.
Two things are worth knowing before you start. First, the days have to be consecutive, so a missed Tuesday ends the streak. Second, Bonus Bets are not cash. You can split them, so a $50 credit can become a $20 bet and a $30 bet, but when one wins you receive the profit only. The Bonus Bet stake is never returned.
A worked example in dollars
Say you live in Columbus and sign up on a Sunday in October. You deposit $40.
- Day 1 (Sunday): you bet $5 on the Bengals moneyline. FanDuel credits $50 in Bonus Bets, win or lose.
- Days 2 to 7: you repeat the $5 cash bet each day, on a Monday Night Football total, an NBA spread, an NHL puck line and so on. That is $35 in cash staked across the week and $350 in Bonus Bets received.
- Using a Bonus Bet: you put $50 in Bonus Bets on a team at +200. If it wins, you collect $100 in withdrawable cash. If you had staked $50 of your own money at the same price, you would have received $150, because your stake would come back too.
Each $50 credit lasts 7 days from the day it lands, so the Sunday Bonus Bets expire the following Sunday even while you are still collecting new ones. Expired Bonus Bets disappear from the account. Bets placed with bonus funds or profit boost tokens, and cashed-out bets, don’t count as qualifying wagers.
Game-day versions of the offer
FanDuel regularly swaps in short promotions for big games. A typical example offers new customers $100 in Bonus Bets for a $1 first bet on a market such as “1+ point to be scored” in a named NFL game, again with no promo code needed and the same 7-day expiry. These run for a day or two around the game, and only one new customer bonus is allowed per person, so choose the version that suits you. There is no no-deposit bonus.
To claim it:
- Open the app or site. Download FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino from the App Store or Google Play, or use the offer button.
- Create your account. Enter your name, email, date of birth, home address, phone number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- Pass identity checks (KYC). FanDuel matches your details against public records. If that fails, it asks for a photo of your driver’s license or passport, and sometimes a selfie.
- Allow location access. Enable location services on your phone, or install the geolocation plug-in on desktop, so FanDuel can confirm you are in a legal state.
- Deposit at least $5. Pick a method from the cashier. A card or PayPal deposit usually lands instantly.
- Opt in and place your first $5 bet. Your 7-day window starts. Repeat the $5 cash bet daily to collect each $50 in Bonus Bets.

FanDuel does not use a promo code. Our verdict
FanDuel earns its place at the top of the US market. The app is fast, Same Game Parlay+ remains the benchmark for parlay builders, and the profit boosts keep coming. The welcome offer is generous for a $5 daily commitment, although the seven-day streak rule means it rewards people who already plan to bet every day. If you only want one quick bonus, DraftKings’ single-bet offer is simpler. If you want the most complete all-round sportsbook in a large number of states, FanDuel is hard to beat.
Pros
- No promo code needed, and the welcome offer costs only $5 a day
- Up to $350 in Bonus Bets, credited daily rather than all at once
- Available in 24 states plus DC and Puerto Rico, including Missouri and Arkansas
- Same Game Parlay+ bundles several SGPs from different games into one ticket
- Profit boosts of 25% to 100% plus Boost Builder tokens on NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL games
- 4.8 on the App Store from 2.1 million ratings, and 24/7 live chat
Cons
- The 7-day offer needs a bet every single day; one missed day ends it
- Bonus Bet winnings exclude the stake, so $350 in Bonus Bets is worth well under $350 in cash
- Each day’s Bonus Bets expire after 7 days
- ACH withdrawals take 3 to 5 business days and checks up to two weeks
- 1.2 on Trustpilot, with withdrawal and account-restriction complaints
Sports, markets and bet types
FanDuel’s market list is broad without being bloated. The NFL, college football, NBA, MLB, NHL, college basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, UFC and motorsports are all well covered, with the deepest player prop menus on the four major US leagues.
Bet types you will find:
- Moneylines, point spreads and totals on every major game
- Player and game props, from passing yards to first basket scorer
- Futures, including Super Bowl, MVP and division winner markets
- Parlays, teasers and round robins, including cross-sport parlays
- Live, in-game betting with odds that move with play
Same Game Parlay and SGP+. The Same Game Parlay lets you combine legs from one game into a single ticket, such as Bills moneyline, Josh Allen over 1.5 passing touchdowns and over 47.5 points. Same Game Parlay+ goes further, letting you bundle several Same Game Parlays from different games into one bet. FanDuel’s app builds these quickly, and SGP-specific profit boosts appear most weeks.
Cash out. FanDuel offers cash out on many pre-game and live bets, letting you settle early for a value based on the current odds.
Racing. FanDuel also offers horse racing through its separate Racing app, and FanDuel TV, relaunched from the TVG horse racing channel, carries live racing.
Promotions for existing customers
FanDuel’s promotions hub runs a steady stream of profit boost tokens: 25% to 100% boosts on NFL Sundays, MLB playoff games, WNBA and NHL nights, plus “Boost Builder” tokens that add a little more boost for each extra parlay leg. A profit boost raises the winnings, not the stake, so a 50% boost on a $10 bet at +200 lifts the profit from $20 to $30. The app listing also names parlay insurance and big win bonuses among its regular promotions.
Payments and withdrawals
FanDuel’s cashier carries the payment brands most US bettors use. The minimum deposit for the welcome offer is $5.
| Method | Deposits | Withdrawals | Typical withdrawal time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard | Yes | Some debit cards | Varies by card issuer |
| PayPal | Yes | Yes | Often within 48 hours, sometimes under an hour once approved |
| Venmo | Yes | Yes | Often within 48 hours |
| FanDuel prepaid card | Yes | Yes | Often within 48 hours |
| ACH online banking | Yes | Yes | 3 to 5 business days plus bank time |
| PayNearMe (cash at retail stores) | Yes | No | n/a |
| Wire transfer | Yes | Yes (large amounts) | Varies |
| Check by mail | No | Yes | Up to two weeks |
As a rule, FanDuel pays withdrawals back to a method you have already deposited with, and the first cash-out can take longer while identity documents are checked. E-wallets such as PayPal and Venmo are the quickest route. For broader advice on keeping betting money separate from household money, see our money section.
App and customer service
FanDuel is a regulated, state-by-state sportsbook. You can open an account from anywhere, but you can only place a bet while you are physically inside a state where FanDuel holds a license, and the app checks this with geolocation each time you bet. Your account and balance travel with you: drive from New Jersey into Pennsylvania and you can keep betting, although promotions and markets follow the rules of the state you are standing in. A VPN does not get around this, since licensed US sportsbooks block VPN and proxy connections; our guide to VPNs explains what they do and do not hide.
- iOS: 4.8 out of 5 on the US App Store, from about 2.1 million ratings (FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino)
- Android: 4.6 out of 5 on Google Play (FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino)
The App Store listing highlights Same Game Parlay+, live betting, cash out, futures, teasers, round robins and odds boosts. Support runs through FanDuel’s online help center, which covers the Sportsbook, Casino, Fantasy and Racing products:
- Live chat: around the clock through the help center
- Email: support@fanduel.com
- Phone: callback and phone support are offered; FanDuel does not publish fixed phone hours
- Social: @FanDuel on X, plus Facebook and Instagram
Live chat is the fastest route for account and bonus questions. Withdrawal disputes and verification issues tend to move to email.
What players say
On the app stores, FanDuel’s reputation is excellent: millions of ratings average out at 4.8 on iOS and 4.6 on Android, and the praise centers on speed, how easy it is to build a Same Game Parlay and how quickly bets settle. Neither store page showed individual written reviews, so the quotes below come from Trustpilot, where FanDuel’s brand-wide score is 1.2 out of 5 from about 1,080 reviews.
“Fanduel is the worst betting app out of all the betting platforms,” wrote Claude P. in October 2026. John V. had a rule-specific gripe the same month: “Every other sportsbook voids bets for injured players except for Fanduel.” Promotions are another sore spot. “Also have a $10 sportsbook bonus and that won’t apply as I attempt to make bets,” wrote Roderick B. in September 2026, whose deposit screen also wouldn’t load.
Trustpilot skews toward unhappy customers, and many of its FanDuel reviews concern the casino rather than the sportsbook. Its recurring themes match a Wall Street Journal analysis of Better Business Bureau complaints against the largest operators: slow or blocked withdrawals and confusion over promotions. FanDuel responded to every BBB complaint filed in that analysis, and the company has said that delays usually come from fraud and anti-money-laundering checks it is required to run.

FanDuel vs DraftKings. In DailyStoke’s ranking the two sit close enough that many bettors hold both. FanDuel’s welcome offer pays more in total ($350 against $200) but asks for seven days of activity; DraftKings pays its $200 after one $5 bet. DraftKings is in more states, including New Hampshire, Oregon and Maine, while FanDuel’s app is slightly cleaner for building Same Game Parlays.
FanDuel vs bet365. bet365 brings its European strength in live betting and soccer, with a broad in-play menu. FanDuel covers more states and has the more Americanized product, especially for NFL props.
FanDuel vs Hard Rock Bet. Hard Rock Bet is the only one of the four live online in Florida, and its welcome offer protects losing bets rather than paying Bonus Bets regardless. FanDuel wins on state coverage, app polish and the frequency of its boosts.

No. FanDuel’s welcome offer applies automatically to new accounts. You do not need to enter a promo code at sign-up.
How does the FanDuel “bet $5, get $350” offer work?

Is there a FanDuel no deposit bonus?
No. Every FanDuel new customer offer requires a deposit of at least $5 and a real-money first bet.

It is a parlay made of two or more Same Game Parlays from different games. Every leg in every game has to win for the ticket to pay.
How fast are FanDuel withdrawals?
PayPal, Venmo and the FanDuel prepaid card are usually the quickest, often within 48 hours. Online banking takes 3 to 5 business days plus your bank’s processing time, and paper checks can take up to two weeks.
