Paralympic gold medallist Rachel Morris has already taken gold medals in two different sports and has intentions of adding a third to that list after announcing her plans to switch to skiing.
Morris, 39, won hand-cycling gold for Great Britain at the 2008 Beijing Olympics—the first for her nation—and backed it up with bronze at London 2012.
She switched to rowing for the summer games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and took single sculls gold, with another transition now in sight. She told BBC Sport:
“I’ve always wanted to do a winter sport and the opportunity just came along. Part of me wondered if I was stupid for wanting to start at the bottom again, but the other part of me was saying it was a great opportunity and I should give it a go and see what happens.
“It is amazing to get to that standard in another sport.
