An American swimmer who went missing after a swim on Australia’s Gold Coast was relocated inside a phone booth after temporarily disappearing during the events caused by Cyclone Oma.
Stab magazine reported on the situation after the unnamed American went missing after a swim at Palm Beach in Queensland. Police were contacted and sent helicopters as part of the efforts to pin down the missing subject.
Someone at the scene said: “[Apparently he] got sucked out by a rip then was disorientated when he came back in. He was still a bit out of it [when walking out of the police station] – like confused and sleepy-looking.”
