Tennessee Online Sports Betting Guide & Site

Tennessee is expected to launch sports betting by Nov. 1, but this deadline is the third one set by the state. Tennessee was originally expected to launch sports betting by the Super Bowl in 2020, and the state also missed the start of the 2020 NFL season.

The legislature in Tennessee passed a bill legalizing sports betting in April 2019, and Governor Bill Lee let the bill become a law without his signature. When the state does launch sports betting this fall, it will look a lot different than it does in other states.

The legal sports betting age in Tennessee is set at 21 years of age. Residents of the state will be able to sign up for a sports betting account, and anyone inside of state borders can do the same.

Physical Sportsbooks in Tennessee

There will be no physical sportsbooks in the state of Tennessee, at least at launch. All of the betting must be done through an online sportsbook or through an online sports betting site.

TN Current Online Betting Apps

Since sports betting has not launched yet in the state of Tennessee, there are no online betting apps. The state has not yet issued any sports betting licenses, so it is unclear what operators are planning to launch in the state.

Top Bonus Offers in the State

Without knowing the sports betting operators that will be up and running in Tennessee, it is hard to predict what bonus offers will be available to customers. The best way to predict what bonus offers will be available is to look at the current offers being run by these sportsbooks in other states.

Here are the current offers being offered from three of the top operators expected to launch:

DraftKings

DraftKings is currently offering a bonus that is worth up to $1,025 in most markets. This bonus comes in the form of a free bet, a risk-free bet, and a deposit match.

FanDuel Tennessee

FanDuel is offering a risk-free bet to new customers in several states, and the amount of that free bet depends on the amount that is deposited.

BetRivers Sportsbook TN

BetRivers has recently launched in several states throughout the Midwest portion of the country, and they offer a 100 percent first deposit match up to $250.

Teams to Bet On

When sports betting does officially launch in Tennessee, there are two professional sports teams that will drive the industry. The Tennessee Titans of the NFL and the Nashville Predators of the NHL are both popular throughout the state, and they will likely bring in the most betting handle.

Sportsbooks in Tennessee can also offer bets on collegiate sporting events, and the University of Tennessee will bring in a large number of bets as well.

Betting Types Offered by TN Sportsbooks

When sports betting does officially launch in Tennessee, sportsbooks will be able to offer a wide range of betting options to their customers. All of the most common betting types can be offered, as well as some of the newer and most unique options.

Moneyline, total, and spread betting will be three of the most common and popular betting types offered when the industry launches. Sportsbooks can also offer parlay, future, and teaser betting options.

Another betting type that will be offered in Tennessee is live or in-play betting. This type of betting has become extremely popular in the sports betting industry in the US.
