Microbetting appears to be the new hot button item with mobile sports betting apps and Caesars is looking to get in on the ground floor of this wagering innovation.
The major online sportsbook has entered into a partnership with Simplebet to supply microbetting technology to Caesars.
“Microbetting has transformed the way fans, operators and media companies view live sporting events and we’re thrilled to work with such a dynamic partner to accelerate its widespread adoption,” Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, said in a statement. “Play-by-play betting is an innovation that we know our customers want access to.”
As the name suggests, microbetting is allowing bettors the ability to be placing wagers on specific plays within a game. Football bettors can wager on the outcome of every play. Will it be a completed pass? A run? A fumble? An interception?
In basketball, each possession is up for wagering. Will the next basket be a two- or three-point field goal, or a free throw? Baseball microbettors can break down each plate appearance for a hitter, or every pitch thrown from the mound.
Simplebet is a B2B product development company using machine learning and real-time technology to make every moment of every sporting event a betting opportunity. While every online sportsbook is currently offering live in-play wagering apps, the technology supplied by Simplebet ramps up the process of digesting those rapid betting options, making this betting market even more robust for players and sportsbooks alike.
“Forging a partnership with an iconic brand and leader in sports betting such as Caesars accentuates that micro-betting is becoming an emerging feature of the betting landscape and a must-have offering for any major sportsbook,” SimpleBet CEO, Chris Bevilacqua said in a statement. “Microbetting has transformed the way fans, operators and media companies view live sporting events and we’re thrilled to work with such a dynamic partner to accelerate its widespread adoption.”
SimpleBet provides microbetting platforms for the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football, and college basketball.
Joey Levy, the co-founder of Simplebet, is now operating his own microbetting site called betr in partnership with social media influencer and professional boxer Jake Paul. A betting site that exclusively offers microbetting, they’ve been granted a license to operate in Ohio and are partnering with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the Buckeye State.
