Ohio is set to launch legal and regulated sports betting on January 1, 2023 and each of the state’s professional sports franchises are firmly committed to helping online sports betting gain a foothold in the state.
Every one of Ohio’s major pro sports teams – the NFL’s Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, MLB’s Cleveland Guardians, the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets and Columbus Crew of MLS, are not only partnering with online betting sites, several will be offering sports betting within the confines of their home stadiums. As well, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton has entered into a partnership with BetRivers and will be offering a sportsbook inside the Hall of Fame Village
Cincinnati Reds
A multi-year agreement with BetMGM includes plans to open a retail BetMGM Sportsbook at Great American Ball Park. The BetMGM Ohio Sportsbook will be in the space currently serving as the Machine Room restaurant on the northeast side of Great American Ball Park. It will only be accessible from outside the ticketed areas of the ballpark via the arena plaza level entrance. The new venue will allow fans to watch and wager on games all year long.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have partnered with Betfred, but there are currently no plans for a Betfred retail sports betting presence inside Paycor Stadium. Betfred does have a retail sportsbook at Empower Field at Mile High, home to the NFL’s Denver Broncos
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are pairing up with Bally’s. The collaboration will be highlighted by a branded lounge at FirstEnergy Stadium. Browns fans ages 21 and up will have the ability to enjoy an exciting collective sports-betting experience within the new space on game days while watching on-field action from across the league.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers have a retail sports betting partnership with Caesars Sportsbook. The deal will include a 3,000-square-foot sports lounge within Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Columbus Blue Jackets
Ohio’s only NHL club is teaming up with the online betting exchange Prophet Exchange. However, there are currently no plans for a retail sportsbook inside Nationwide Arena.
Columbus Crew
Tipico Sportsbook are teaming up with the MLS Crew as an official sports betting partner. Though Tipico will be recognized as a founding level partner and the club’s official Sports Betting Partner, there won’t be an on-site sportsbook. Tipico will receive entitlement rights to marquee Crew assets such as Tipico Beer Garden and Tipico Club and prominent brand integration throughout Lower.com Field.
bet365 Ohio, BetMGM Ohio, BetRivers Ohio and Caesars Ohio are the sportsbooks that go live in 2023.
